Johnson Controls Symposium: Low Global Warming Potential (GWP) Refrigerants Impact on Chilled Water Plant Efficiency - 2 PDH Credits
2 Professional Development Hours will be awarded for successful completion of this course.
Our local Minnesota song-writer, musician, and lyricist Bob Dylan was right on the money back in 1964 with the song, The Times They Are A- Changin'. Fast forward 55 years to 2019, and we continually need to remind ourselves that the only constant in today’s world is…. CHANGE. The political and environmental HVAC landscape is currently in a moderate to severe paradigm shift. Available in 2019 are efficient non- chlorine HFO refrigerants in low tonnage, oil-free magnetic bearing variable speed water chillers that have a Global Warming Potential less than One (1). Together we will examine new water chiller options that exceed stringent ASHRAE 90.1-2016 energy standards, meet requirements for large utility rebates, and provide for a sustainable service life of 50 years or more.
